Gluten Free Basic White Sauce More Recipes Like This


Ingredients: Metric Units
4 Tbsp. butter
1 3/4 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 1/2 tsp. sweet rice flour
Directions:
A cooking essential - without gluten!

Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add 1 1/2 c. milk, salt, and pepper. Heat but do not bring it to a boil.

In a small bowl, make a roux of the rice flour with 1/4 c. milk. Slowly add to hot mixture. Cook over low heat until thickened. Stir constantly (burns easily!).
