Oven Barbecued Short Ribs

Ingredients:
4-5 lb. short ribs 1 large onion, chopped fine 1 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce 1 c. ketchup 1/4 c. brown sugar 2 c. water
Directions:
Make these mouthwatering tender ribs in your own oven. Have plenty of napkins on hand... Yield: serves 5 hungry folks Preheat oven to 350°F. Place ribs, fat side down, on top of a broiler pan. Salt lightly. Bake 35-40 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, prepare the sauce: combine onion, celery seeds, salt, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer. Simmer 5 min., then remove from heat. Reduce heat in the oven to 300°F. Continue cooking 1 1/2 to 2 hours, basting frequently and liberally with the sauce.
