4 lbs. chicken wings
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. honey
1/2 c. barbecue sauce
1/2 c. hoisin sauce
Directions:
If you wish your chicken wings were more like ribs - fall-off-the-bone tender - then this is the recipe for you. Not quite what you'd get from "Wings N' Things" but it scored a touchdown at our house.
You will need: a slow cooker or crockpot
Prepare the wings
This is the longest bit. Get a heavy sharp knife and cut each chicken wing into three pieces. Discard the little pointy piece (or save it to make chicken stock). Throw the other two pieces into the crock of a slow cooker.
Add the sauce
In a medium bowl, combine cider vinegar, honey, barbecue sauce, and hoisin sauce. Pour over top of wings in slow cooker crock.
Cook it
Set slow cooker to cook for
3 hours on High
6 hours on Low
Go and do your thing. Maybe hit the grocery store to buy bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks.
