2 1/2 c. sugar
6 eggs
3/4 lb. butter
3/4 c. milk
3 c. Bisquick (self-rising flour)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
A light, moist pound cake baked in a bundt pan.
You will need: a tube pan or bundt pan
Also helpful: electric mixer
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat together butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, milk, Bisquick, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
Beat at medium speed for 20 min. That's right, 20 min. Go wash some dishes or do a crossword or something.
While the batter is beating:
Grease and flour a large tube or bundt pan. (These are the ones that have the hole in the middle.)
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Pour batter into the pan, and then bake at 350°F for 1 hour 20 min. When done, the cake will pull away slightly from the edge of the pan and it won't be moist-looking on top.
Let stand a few minutes, then turn out of the pan to cool. Frost with
Scanian Chocolate icing. Dust with pearl sugar (parlsocker) if desired.
