Choc-Oat Chip Cookies More Recipes Like This

Ingredients: Metric Units
1 c. margarine or butter, softened (2 sticks!)
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (opt.)
2 1/2 c. oats (quick or Old Fashioned), uncooked
One 12oz. pkg. (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts (opt.)
Yield: 5 doz. cookies

Preheat oven to 375F.

Beat margarine (or butter) and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.

Sift together dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to batter, mixing well. Stir in oats and chips (and nuts if that's your thing); mix well. Drop by rounded Tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 375F for 9 to 10 min. for chewy and 12-13 min. for crispy cookies. Cool for 1 min. on sheet (cookies will be a bit tender initially), then remove from sheet and allow to cool completely on rack. Enjoy! -Diana
