LIEBLER FAMILY Note: Found handwritten in a Gold Medal Flour notebook hand-dated "Spring of 1929." Written as found. Pair this up with Hollister Frosting, listed separately.
I sour milk by adding a teaspoon of lemon juice and letting stand for a minute or two.
Directions:
4 squares chocolate
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
Cook in double boiler till thick like custard then add;
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup sugar
Dissolve
1 teasp soda in
1/2 cup milk (sour)
Add 1 1/2 cups flour
flavor with vanilla & bake in layers.
