Boiled Cake Filling


Ingredients:
1/2 cup granulated sugar 5 teasp cold water 1 teasp vinegar White of 1 egg
Directions:
A Liebler Family recipe. Found this handwritten into a Gold Medal Flour notebook dated "Spring of 1929." Written just as I found it. Just love this glimpse into kitchen history! Put all in a bowl and cook over hot water beating constantly with egg-beater until thick like cream or about 9 min. Flavor with anything you like. Enjoy! -Diana
