1 c. white sugar
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 gallon snow
Our Daisy Troop Leader shared this with us! She says, "Every time in snowed during my childhood in SC, we made snow ice cream. Of course it didn't snow there but once every few years, so we enjoyed every single snowfall to the fullest."
Take 1-3 rammy kids on a snow day and send them outside with a big pot to collect fresh powdery snow.
In a large bowl, mix together milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Add snow until it is the consistency of ice cream.
Add sledding, one snowball fight, one snowman, and one cup of hot chocolate each for the perfect Snow Day.
If they still have more excess energy, maybe they'll help you shovel the driveway. Well, you can dream.
