2 cups powdered sugar
1 (7-oz.) jar Marshmallow creme (that's Fluff for all of us New Englanders!)
21 oz. (1 1/2 pkgs.) caramels
3 Tbsp. water
3 cups salted peanuts, chopped
A fun and easy candy recipe. Indulge your sweet tooth!
Start by lining a cookie sheet with waxed paper. In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar with the whole jar of Fluff; blend thoroughly. Knead in the remaining powdered sugar. Divide the mixture into 4 parts. Form each part into a rope 1/2 inch in diameter. Cut it into pieces about 1 1/2 inches long. Place on waxed-paper-lined cookie sheet. Freeze about 20 mins. or until firm.
Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan over low heat, heat caramels and water until caramels are melted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Dip frozen marshmallow pieces into caramel mixture; then roll in peanuts. Place on waxed-paper-lined cookie sheet. Freeze until set. Store in covered container in refrigerator. Makes 5 1/2 dozen candies. Enjoy!!! -Diana
