Ingredients: Metric Units
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. white wine
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
Directions:
The light flavors of the white wine give this moist, rich cake an almost flowery taste. Celebrate your birthday in style.

Yield: 2 9-inch layers

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.

Beat together sugar and eggs until creamy. Add oil, wine, flour, salt, baking powder, and vanilla.

Pour batter into prepared pans.

Bake at 350F for 30 min., until the cake pulls away slightly from the sides of the pan and a toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool in pans 10 minutes, then turn out onto racks to cool completely.

Frost with your favorite frosting and light the candles!
