Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. breadcrumbs 1 egg steak sauce to taste approx. 5 slices American cheese 6 steak rolls (like for sub sandwiches)
Directions:
A fun appetizer - or just a new twist on Burger Night. The kids loved this! Yield: 18 mini burgers Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl, combine beef, breadcrumbs, egg, and steak sauce - like you were doing a bunch of burgers on the grill. Press meat mixture into a baking pan with sides (a small cookie sheet is great). It's like making a meatloaf 1/4 inch thick. Bake in the oven for 15 min., or until done. Remove from oven. While the burger is cooking, prepare the rolls. Cut the round-y edges of the ends of the rolls. Cut each roll into 3 pieces - you'll end up with three small rectangular rolls. When the burger is done, slice it into rectangles that fit onto your prepared rolls. Top each with 1/4 slice of American cheese. Serve with your favorite burger toppings - ketchup, mustard, relish.
