Bruschetta More Recipes Like This

Italian Appetizer Recipes

Ingredients: Metric Units
2 Tbsp. (30 ml) extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) tomato paste
1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) dried basil
1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) lemon juice
1/4 tsp. (1 ml) garlic, pressed
pinch crushed red pepper flakes
6 slices Italian bread, 1/2" thick
1 Tbsp. (15 ml) grated Romano cheese
Directions:
A quick Italian appetizer. A great starter for Pasta Night or Pizza Night!

Place rack 8" from heat source and heat broiler.

In a small dish, mix oil, tomato paste, basil, lemon juice, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Spread light coating on each slice of bread. Sprinkle with cheese.

Broil just until the bread is hot, just 2-3 min.
