Boston Brown Bread More Recipes Like This


Ingredients: Metric Units
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. wheat germ
1 c. whole-grain cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. evaporated skim milk
2/3 c. lowfat buttermilk
1/2 c. apple juice concentrate
1 c. raisins
Directions:
A dense bread, sweet with fruit.

Preheat oven to 375F.

Combine flour, wheat germ, cornmeal, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, combine milks, juice concentrate, raisins.

Blend mixtures together gradually.

Turn into greased loaf pan. Bake at 375F for 45 minutes.
