Chen's Traditional Cornbread More Recipes Like This

Ingredients: Metric Units
1 c. flour
3/4 c. corn meal
1/3 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 beaten egg
Preheat oven to 425F. Grease an 8x8 square baking pan. Mix corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt.

Add milk, egg, and oil. Blend well.

Spoon into pan, bake about 20 minutes. Cut into squares.

note: 1/4 c = 4 Tbsp.

A cakey, rich cornbread.
