Guisado (Philippine Braised Beef with Tomatoes) More Recipes Like This

Philippine Dinner recipes
Ingredients: Metric Units
2 lb. braising beef
2 lg onions
7 cloves garlic
2 1/2 Tbsp butter
4 lg. v. ripe tomatoes
2 slices fresh ginger
2 Tbsp dark soy sauce
salt, cracked pepper
3 1/2 c water or beef stock
Directions:
Cut beef into bite-size cubes. Peel, thinly slice onions, garlic. Fry in butter for 3 min, until soft. Push ot one side, fry beef until evenly colored. Coaresly chop tomatoes, shred ginger. Add to pan, simmer until tomato softens. Add osy sauce, salt, pepper. Pour in water/stock. Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer 40 min until v. tender.
