1 lb. chicken wings
1 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground ginger
zest of 1 lime
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
2 Tbsp. honey
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tsp. sesame seeds
Place chicken wings in large zipper plastic bag. (If you like, prepare the chicken wings by cutting them in half at the joint so that you end up with one mini-drumstick and one v-shaped. This is the part that's time consuming.)
Add marinade ingredients: crushed red pepper, chili powder, ginger, lime zest. Close bag, shake to make sure marinade is rubbed over all the wings. Let stand 2 hours.
Heat oil in large skillet or
wok. Add chicken wings, fry, turning frequently, 10-12 min., until golden brown and crispy. Drain off any excess oil.
Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, garlic, sesame seeds to pan. Toss chicken wings to make sure all are well coated. Reduce heat, cover and cook 20-25 min., until completely cooked through. Serve hot.
