Brown Sugar Pie More Recipes Like This

Pennsylvania Dutch Dessert Recipes

Ingredients: Metric Units
1 lb. (0.5 kg) light brown sugar (2 1/3 c. (0.6 L))
1 c. (0.2 L) white sugar
1 Tbsp. (15 ml) flour
5 eggs, beaten
1 c. (0.2 L) milk
2 tsp. (10 ml) vanilla
dash of salt
1/3 c. (79 ml) melted butter
pie crust for a 9-inch pie
Directions:
A sweet Dutchy dessert.

In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar and white sugar. Work flour in.

Add eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt. Mix well. Add butter.

Lay pie crust in pie plate. Pour filling into pie crust.

Bake at 400° F until top is brown (15 minutes) then reduce heat to 300°F and bake until set, about 25 minutes.
