Economy Pound Cake More Recipes Like This

Budget Dessert Recipes
Ingredients: Metric Units
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. sugar
2 sticks soft margarine
4 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. whiskey
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg or 1 tsp. lemon extract
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375° F.

Separate eggs. Beat yolks until foamy; beat whites until stiff. Mix flour and baking powder. In separate bowl, cream sugar and margarine. Add egg yolks, milk, nutmeg (or lemon extract) and whiskey. Add flour and fold in egg whites.

Bake at 375° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
