Ingredients:
1 lb. sugar snap peas or snow peas 2 tsp. sherry 2 tsp. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. salt 1 Tbsp. canola oil 1 tsp. sesame oil 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
Directions:
The vivid green pea pods add a dramatic element to the table. A great springtime dish. Try one of the pea pods to see if they need to be strung. If the strings are tough, pull them off. In a large bowl, toss pea pods with cornstarch, sherry, and salt. Set aside. (Get the rest of the meal mostly ready; this only takes a few minutes to cook.) When you're ready to cook, heat an electric skillet over high heat (or a wok, of course) and add canola oil. Add pea pods and stir fry to crisp tender. Remove to serving platter. Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
