Ingredients:
2 1/4 c flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 c butter 3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 eggs 1 pkg. (12oz.) swirly chocolate chips
Directions:
These are classic chocolate chip cookies with a twist - swirly chips. For some reason, they impress the kids. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and brown sugar. When the mixture is nice an creamy, add vanilla and eggs. Gradually add dry ingredients to make a stiff dough. Add chips. Preheat oven to 375°F. Drop cookie dough by teaspoonfuls onto a baking sheet. Bake at 375°F for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown on the edges. Remove from sheet and allow to cool completely on racks. Hint on technique: If you line your trays with baking parchment, you can just lift the parchment onto the rack and rip off a new sheet. And cleanup is as easy as waiting for the trays to cool and putting them away.
