1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
1/2 lb. ground veal
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
3/4 c. tomato juice
6 strips bacon
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
Directions:
Mix meats, eggs, onion, Worcestershire, mustard, salt, pepper, bread crumbs, tomato juice. Mix, fluff, rather than compress. Mold into loaf 8 - 10 " long, 4" high in shallow casserole or baking dish. Cover top with bacon strips, laid diagonally. Pour tomato sauce evenly over loaf. Bake 1 hr. 15 min. Serves 6 - 8
