Breakfast Kasha

Middle Eastern Breakfast recipes

Ingredients:
2 1/2 c. milk 1/2 cinnamon stick 1/2 c. kasha 1/4 tsp. salt 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
Directions:
Hot cereal is more than just oatmeal - try kasha! Heat milk over medium low to boiling. Add 1/2 cinnamon stick, broken in half. Stir in kasha. Add salt, butter. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until thickened (10-12 minutes). Discard cinnamon. Spoon into bowls. Serve topped with cinnamon sugar and/or fresh fruit.
