3 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp sherry
2 tsp. Chinese five-spice powder
1 tsp. honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
white pepper to taste
Directions:
A marinade with Asian notes, perfect for stir fry.
Whisk together all ingredients. Makes enough for 1 lb. of meat.
If you don't have sherry, try substituting orange juice, brandy, or rice vinegar.
