Strawberry Compote (Jordgubbskräm)


Ingredients:
2-3 c fresh strawberries 2 c water 1/3 - 1/2 c sugar 2 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
Directions:
Clean and hull strawberries. Cut large ones into bite-sized pieces or slice. In a saucepan, combine strawberries and sugar. Mix a little of the water into the cornstarch to create a thin paste. Pour into saucepan. Add remaining water, and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, stirring carefully. Pour into a serving bowl, sprinkle with sugar. Let stand. Serve warm or chilled with milk.
