Panne D'Arancia (Orange Bread)


Ingredients:
2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2 Tbsp. butter 1 egg 3/4 cup hot water 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup orange juice grated rind of one orange
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Combine orange juice, hot water and rind in a separate bowl. Add wet and dry ingredients a little at a time to butter mix, alternating between wet and dry and beating after each addition. Pour batter into a greased 9inch by 5inch by 3inch loaf pan and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Enjoy!
