1 lb. bacon

You'll need:
broiler pan
oven
Directions:
Busy flipping pancakes? Put your broiler to work doing the bacon.

This is a handy method of doing bacon to take advantage of your whole kitchen. Let the microwave handle the scrambled eggs, let the griddle concentrate on pancakes.

Move the racks in the oven to place the bacon about 3-4 inches from the heat.

Turn on the broiler.

Lay out the strips of bacon on the broiler pan rack. Place in the oven. (Be careful! That baby's HOT - I burned myself twice. Which is why they call me the Accidental Chef.)

Broil 2 min. Remove broiler pan from oven. Flip bacon using tongs or a fork.

Place back in oven and broil at least 1 minute more or until crispy as you like it. Don't get distracted, this doesn't take long.

(Take time out to butter and syrup a pancake and you'll end up with carbonized sticks that resemble bacon in shape only.)
