8 slices fried bacon
8 slices raw bacon
4 onions, sliced
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. vinegar
2 cans butter or lima beans (drained)
2 cans baked beans (not drained)
2 cans kidney beans (drained)
1 regular bottle ketchup
Directions:
Colonial Day recipe.
Place onions in a skillet. Add sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and vinegar. Simmer 20 min., covered.
Add onion mixture and ketchup to beans. Add fried bacon. Mix and pour into 3-qt. casserole. Cover top with raw bacon. Cover and bake 1 hour at 350°F.
