Parmesan Baskets More Recipes Like This


Ingredients: Metric Units
Shredded Parmesan Cheese (I prefer freshly shredded, but the bagged stuff is alright, too)
A 10-inch nonstick skillet
A wide-based drinking glass
Directions:
Place the drinking glass upside down on your counter. Heat the skillet over medium to medium-high heat.

Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the bottom of the pan, except leaving it a little less even around the edges (this creates a lacey look to the basket). When the cheese is slightly golden brown on the underside, VERY carefully remove it whole, using a spatula and your fingers.

QUICKLY place the parmesan "disk" over the bottom of the drinking glass, golden-brown side up, and press it gently to form a bowl (you know, like the taco salad bowls look). Let cool on glass, then remove. Serve with your favorite salad inside it within a few hours. Enjoy! -Diana
