Smoked Sausage and Creamed Potatoes More Recipes Like This

Ingredients: Metric Units
1 lb. smoked sausage (kielbasa)
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 medium onion
6 medium potatoes
3 Tbsp. flour
2 c. chicken stock
salt and pepper to taste
1 c. milk
This hearty skillet supper feeds a crowd without busting your budget.

Yield: 8 servings

Slice sausage. Chop onion.

Place sausage, onion, and oil in a large skillet. Sauté for a few minutes, until onion begins to soften.

Meanwhile, peel potatoes and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Add potatoes to skillet. Add stock (use water if you don't have stock handy). Cover and simmer until potatoes are done. (How long this will take depends on how small you considered "bite-sized." Smaller dice will of course be done quicker. Allow about 15-20 min. but be flexible.)

In a small bowl, make a paste of flour and milk. Stir into potatoes and sausage. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
