Chinatown Seacakes


Ingredients:
1/2 lb shrimp, shelled, deveined 1/2 lb scallops 1 clove garlic 1/2 c fresh bread crumbs 1 Tbsp lemon juice 1 egg, beaten salt, cayenne to taste 1 Tbsp butter Ginger Scallion Topping 1 Tbsp shredded fresh ginger 2 chopped scallions 1 Tbsp oil 1 Tbsp soy sauce sesame oil 1/4 tsp sugar
Directions:
In food processor, process shrimp, scallops, garlic. Mixture should look lumpy. Stir in bread crumbs, lemon juice, egg. Season with salt, cayenne. Shape into four cakes. Blot lightly with towel. Saute in butter until lightly browned. Serve with steamed rice and Ginger Scallion Topping: Saute ginger, scallions in oil 1 minute. Stir in 1 Tbsp soy sauce, few drops sesame oil, 1/4 tsp sugar.
