1 egg
1 c. sugar
1/4 lb. butter
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1-2 apples
cinnamon sugar
Directions:
An easy, quick apple dessert - like a sugar cookie with apples on top.
Yield: about 16 small slices
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Prepare a springform pan by unwrapping the butter and butter the pan liberally. Shake about 2 Tbsp. breadcrumbs over the pan and coat the buttered pan. (Make sure that the whole pan's surface is coated. And whatever you do, don't use the Italian seasoned kind of breadcrumbs!)
In a medium bowl, sift together flour and baking powder. Stir in sugar.
Melt butter and add to dry ingredients. Add egg. Beat with a hand mixer to combine. The dough will be the consistency of cookie dough. Press into prepared springform pan.
Peel and slice thinly one to two medium apples. Press apples into a fan shaped pattern on top of the dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Bake at 350°F, about 30 minutes, until edges are golden.
