2 cloves fresh garlic, peeled
1/3 c walnut halves & pieces
3 Tbsp grated Parmesan
2 c lightly packed fresh basil, leaves, tender stems
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/3 c nonfat, low-sodium chicken broth
Directions:
Combine garlic, walnuts, parmesan in bowl of food processor or blender. Puree into small bits. Add basil, salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar. Puree. With processer running, add chicken broth, puree to make a smooth paste. Spoon into a jar with a tight fitting lid. Store in refrigerator.
