Onion, Ham & Cheese Soup More Recipes Like This


Ingredients: Metric Units
2 potatoes, pared, cubed
1 c boiling water
1 c chopped onion
3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
6 oz. (1 c) shredded Cheddar
dash pepper
3 c milk
1 1/2 c ham
Directions:

Cook potatoes in water until fork-tender but not crumbly, about 10 min. Drain, reserving water. Add enough water to make one cup. Cook onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour and pepper. Add milk and potato water all at once. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and bubbles. Add ham and cheese.
