German Chocolate Pound Cake More Recipes Like This

Ingredients: Metric Units
1 bar German sweet chocolate
2 c sugar
1 c butter
4 eggs
3 tsp vanilla
1 c buttermilk or sour milk
3 c sifted flour
1/2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beat well. Melt chocolate, add to butter/egg mixture. Add vanilla, buttermilk. Sift flour, soda, salt, add to batter. Grease a 10 inch tube pan (or 3 8" rounds). Pour cake mixture into pan(s). Bake at 300° for 50 min. Let cool in pans, turn out, then frost. (try Amaretto Icing)
