Pennsylvania Dutch Sauce recipes
1/2 c. dark brown sugar (less for sweet cider)
3 c. apple cider
3/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
7 tsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. water
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Directions:
Combin brown sugar, apple cider, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg in saucepan. Boil.
Combine cornstarch and water in separate bowl. Slowly add cornstarch mix to boiling apple cider, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens slightly.
Remove sauce from heat. Stir in lemon juice.
