Ingredients: Metric Units
4-2/3 cups sifted flour
2 Tablespoons lard or shortening
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1-1/4 envelopes yeast
1-1/8 cups warm water
Directions:
Place flour on pastry board. Add lard, salt, pepper, yeast and warm water and work well until smooth. Place in large pan, cover with a dishcloth and let rise in a warm place 2 hours, or until double in bulk. Place on floured board and pound lightly to deflate it. Divide into 2 pieces and stretch each piece on bottom of greased 12-inch pizza pan. Dough is now ready for your toppings. Makes dough for 2 pizzas. Enjoy!
