Pennsylvania Dutch Dinner Recipes
Ingredients: Metric Units
2 lb. pork roast
2 c. apples, in wedges (about 4 small apples)
1 c. onion, in wedges (about 2 small onions)
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. apple cider
1-2 Tbsp. rosemary
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Spray a roasting pan with nonstick spray.

Arrange apples and onions along the bottom of the pan. Lay pork on top of apples. Sprinkle the top with rosemary, salt, and pepper.

Bake in a 350 F oven until internal temperature reaches 160 F, about two hours.

Serve with mashed potatoes and applesauce.

Editor's note:
This is not a bona fide traditional Pennsylvania Dutch recipe, but I think it's got the right feel...It'd fit right in beside wilted lettuce in bacon dressing.
