10 oz. pasta (300 g), or most of the box
3/4 c crème fraiche (see note below on substitution) - (2 dl)
1/2 c milk (1 dl)
3/4 c shreded cheese (2 dl)
1/2 c finely chopped smoked ham or cooked, crumbled bacon (100 g)
black pepper to taste
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, to make the sauce, cook the creme fraiche and milk in a small saucepan.
To substitute for creme fraiche, combine equal parts of sour cream and whipping cream (also known as heavy cream).
Add cheese to the milk mixture, and stir until melted. Season to taste with black pepper. Add in ham and stir to combine. Serve over pasta.
