3 large baking potatoes
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Have those fancy steak fries at home and don't bust the budget.
Yield: 4 - 6 servings
Preheat oven to 425° F.
Pour oil into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Scrub potatoes well and cut lengthwise into quarters. Blot cut edges with paper towel to get rid of "film." Place potatoes in pan. Turn to coat evenly with oil, leaving potatoes cut sides up in a single layer. Sprinkle with paprika, salt, pepper (and cheese, if used).
Bake at 425° F for 30 to 40 minutes or until fork tender. Serve plain or with sour cream. Add extra salt and pepper, if desired.
