Ingredients: Metric Units
All-purpose potatoes
Fat (Oil, shortening, whatever)
Brown paper
Pare potatoes and slice VERY thin and drop directly into a pan of cold, salted water. Drain and dry between paper towels. Fry a few at a time in deep, hot fat (around 375 degrees) until brown and crisp. Drain on brown paper. Sprinkle with salt and serve either hot or cold. Enjoy! -Diana

P.S. This is a time-consuming recipe and you have to ask yourself "Do I have more time or more money?" Once I had no choice - the baby was napping and a friend was coming over and I had no snacks in the house. This recipe is a good emergency standby.
