Ingredients:
2 c all-purpose flour 1 tsp salt 4 tsp baking powder 1 Tbsp sugar 1/2 c butter 2/3 c milk
Directions:
Buttery warm biscuits make the meal great. Perfect with fried chicken! Preheat oven to 425°F. Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder (or combine with a fork). Add sugar. Cut the butter into small pieces and cut it into the flour with a pastry blender or a fork. Add milk. Stir/knead to make a slightly sticky dough. Drop by large spoonfuls onto a baking sheet. Bake at 425° F for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes a very flaky, crumbly biscuit. (For a less crumbly biscuit, substitute vegetable shortening like Crisco for the butter.) Serve with honey.
