Rice Pilaf (Pilaffris)


Ingredients:
2 Tbsp onion 1 Tbsp butter or vegetable oil 1 c rice 2 c water 2 tsp salt
Directions:
Mince onion. In a medium saucepan with a tightly fitting lid, melt butter or heat oil. Add onion and rice. Stir and saute until rice is golden brown. Pour in water and salt and bring to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes, until rice is tender.
