Basic Buttery Frosting More Recipes Like This


Ingredients: Metric Units
3/4 c. butter
2 1/4 c. powdered sugar or icing sugar
Directions:
A basic frosting - start here and add different extracts for a different flavor.

Yield: Enough frosting for 1 cake - 2 layers or a 9x13

Cream together softened butter with enough powdered sugar (also known as confectioner's sugar, icing sugar, or 10X) to create a spreadable consistency. Spread on cooled cake.
