14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
16 oz. (2 packages) semisweet chocolate
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. miniature marshmallows
1/2 c. chocolate chips
Grant Family Recipe
(A perennial Christmas request - and great for teacher-gifts or coach-gifts!)
Line an 8"x8" square pan with foil, spray with nonstick spray. In a medium-sized bowl, break chocolate into 1 oz. or 1/2 oz. pieces. (When melting chocolate, it helps if the pieces are all about the same size.) Pour condensed milk over chocolate. Let it stand upside down in the bowl for a little while, condensed milk is very thick.
Heat in microwave 1 minute on high, then stir vigorously. Heat in microwave another minute if chocolate is not melted. Melting process will take 2 - 3 minutes, depending on the microwave and the size of your chocolate bits. Stir until smooth and glossy.
Stir in chocolate chips. Stir in marshmallows (if you do too much stirring here, the marshmallows will melt - stir until just distributed).
Spread into prepared pan.
Refrigerate 2-3 hours. Cut into squares, share and enjoy.
This is a fun choice for folks who aren't fond of nuts.
