Candied Orange Peel More Recipes Like This

Ingredients: Metric Units
Peel of 1 orange
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup hot water
Directions:
Wipe orange with a damp paper towel. Remove peel in quarters, then cut into narrow strips. Place peel in saucepan and cover with cold water. Let boil up once, then drain water. Repeat five times. Heat the sugar with the hot water, and when dissolved, add the orange peel. Cook slowly until syrup is nearly evaporated. Drain, then roll the strips in granulated sugar.
Use chopped in recipes, or store in a glass container (add sugar as it gets wet looking). Enjoy! -Diana
